Listed below is a sample of some of our past settlements and jury verdicts:

Plaintiff was involved in a work site accident. Plaintiff was injured when a slab of marble fell on him. Plaintiff was able to obtain a settlement for $14,000,000.00.

Plaintiff brought an action which involved land contamination. Plaintiff's property had been contaminated due to the business operations of an adjoining landowner. Plaintiff received a binding arbitration award in excess of $7,000,000.00.

Plaintiff brought an action against a forklift manufacturer under the theory of negligent maintenance and inspection. Plaintiff suffered serious injuries to his leg. Defendant refused to make any settlement offers until the eve of trial. At that time, Defendant offered only $150,000.00 to settle the case. Plaintiff received a jury verdict in excess of $3,000,000.00.

Another case involved brain damage suffered by a baby. Plaintiffs alleged that hospital nurses negligently monitored the mother's labor and did not realize the fetus was suffering fetal distress until it was too late. The baby was born with brain damage. Plaintiff received a settlement in excess of $1,000,000.00.

Plaintiff brought a case against a doctor that failed to detect pre-term labor which could have been delayed and the baby was born several months premature. Plaintiff alleged that the baby suffered mild cerebral palsy. Plaintiff settled the case in excess of $600,000.00.

Plaintiff brought a legal malpractice claim resulting from a divorce case. Plaintiff contended that the lawyer failed to properly investigate the extent of community assets. Plaintiff received a settlement in excess of $800,000.00.

Plaintiff brought a personal injury case resulting from a work site accident. Plaintiff fell 2 stories and ended up as a paraplegic. The defendant denied any wrongdoing. Plaintiff was able to receive a settlement in excess of $2,000,000.00.

Plaintiff brought a personal injury case resulting from an automobile accident. Plaintiff's vehicle was struck by a rental car whose brakes failed due to a manufacturing defect. Plaintiff suffered serious injuries and was rendered a paraplegic. The defendants disputed the case, but Plaintiff eventually received a settlement in excess of $1,000,000.00.

Plaintiff brought a products liability case against a bicycle manufacturer. Plaintiff was rendered a paraplegic when he was thrown head-first over the handlebars of the bicycle he was riding. Defendant disputed liability. Plaintiff was able to prove that the accident was due to overactive brake pads. Plaintiff received a settlement of $1,200,000.00.

Plaintiff brought a personal injury case when a chair that Plaintiff was sitting in collapsed. Plaintiff suffered a serious injury to his right arm. Plaintiff brought a claim against the manufacturer of the chair. Plaintiff was able to obtain a settlement in excess of $300,000.00.

Plaintiff brought a claim for personal injury resulting from faulty construction of a walkway. As a result Plaintiff struck his head. Plaintiff suffered a skull fracture requiring surgery. Plaintiff obtained a settlement of $750,000.00.

Plaintiff brought a personal injury case when he fell through a rotten floor on Defendant's premises. Plaintiff suffered an injury to his back requiring surgery. Plaintiff received a settlement in excess of $600,000.00.

Another case involved a Plaintiff who was shopping at a store. Plaintiff mis-stepped on a stairway causing serious injuries to her ankle requiring surgery. Defendant disputed liability. Plaintiff proved that the accident was caused by Defendant because of the difference in height of the steps. Plaintiff received a settlement in excess of $400,000.00.

Plaintiff was injured in an automobile accident caused by the Defendant driving through a red light. Plaintiff suffered a herniated disc which required surgery. Plaintiff received a settlement for the amount of $500,000.00.

Plaintiff brought a personal injury case when his vehicle was struck by another vehicle that was backing out of a garage. Plaintiff injured his back requiring surgery. Plaintiff received a settlement of $250,000.00.

Plaintiff was a self-employed gardener. Plaintiff was working on Defendant's property when Defendant's dog bit his hand. Plaintiff suffered an injury to his finger. Plaintiff received a settlement in the amount of $80,000.00.

In another case, Plaintiff brought a personal injury case when she was injured in an automobile accident. Plaintiff was a passenger in a car that struck a parked truck. There was an issue of whether the truck was parked legally and whether that contributed to the accident. Eventually, Plaintiff received a settlement for the amount of $60,000.00.

Plaintiff was injured in an automobile accident when Plaintiff's vehicle was impacted from the rear. Plaintiff suffered soft tissue injuries to her neck and back. Plaintiff had an MRI performed and received a cortisone injection. Eventually, Plaintiff received a settlement for the amount of $47,600.00.

In another case, Plaintiff brought a personal injury case when he was hit by a vehicle. Plaintiff was crossing the street while in the middle of the block. The defendant disputed the case indicating that Plaintiff was jaywalking and should have used a crosswalk. Plaintiff suffered a serious injury to his back requiring surgery. Eventually, Plaintiff received a settlement of $180,000.00.

In another case, Plaintiff was a minor that suffered third degree burns on his feet and legs. The accident happened on a beach area on the Russian River. Plaintiff jumped into a pile of ashes that were still very hot. Plaintiff brought a claim under the theory that the area where the ashes were dumped should have been fenced off. Defendant disputed the case. Eventually, Plaintiff received a settlement for the amount of $118,203.41.

Plaintiff brought a personal injury case when she was bitten on her leg by a dog. The injury was serious enough to require stitches. Eventually, Plaintiff received a settlement of $42,557.87.

In another case, Plaintiff brought a personal injury case when she slipped and fell inside of a store. Plaintiff slipped on some fabric softener that was spilled on the floor. Plaintiff contends that there were no warning signs in the area. Plaintiff suffered injuries to her knee, hand and shoulder. Defendant disputed liability. Plaintiff ended up having surgery to her shoulder. Eventually, Plaintiff received a settlement for $40,000.00.

In another case, Plaintiff was injured in an automobile accident wherein Plaintiff alleges that Defendant ran a red light. There were no witnesses and Defendant claimed that he had a green light. This was a disputed case. Plaintiff suffered soft tissue injuries and bruising to his ribs. Plaintiff also began experiencing headaches. Eventually, Plaintiff received a settlement of $50,000.00.

Plaintiff brought a personal injury case resulting from injuries caused by an automobile accident. Plaintiff contends that Defendant failed to yield at a stop sign causing the collision. Defendant disputed the nature of Plaintiff's injuries. Plaintiff received soft tissue injuries. Plaintiff treated with a chiropractor. Eventually, Plaintiff settled his case for $35,080.00.

In another case, Plaintiff was a police officer and while he was working, he was involved in a motorcycle versus automobile accident. Plaintiff suffered injuries to his right foot. Plaintiff right foot was severely bruised, but his injury did not require surgery. Plaintiff settled his case for $45,000.00.

Plaintiff, while working, was injured in an accident. Plaintiff brought a personal injury case. Plaintiff was on Defendant's premises to pick up bags of ice. While on Defendant's premises, Defendant pushed a cart over Plaintiff's right foot. Diagnostic testing was done and the doctors determined that he suffered a fracture. Defendants disputed liability and damages. Eventually, Plaintiff received a settlement for $135,000.00.

Worksite accident where plaintiff suffered facial injuries. Claim against concrete company and pumper for negligent use of the pump and substandard quality of concrete causing pump hose to kick and strike plaintiff. Defendants denied all claims, but eventually settled this case for $170,000.

Bicycle versus pedestrian accident wherein plaintiff was crossing the street and the bicyclist struck the plaintiff knocking him down. The police report found plaintiff at fault and defendant was arguing that plaintiff crossed in the middle of the block and did not make sure the area was safe to cross before entering the roadway. Plaintiff claimed that it was getting dark and the bicycle should have been equipped with a light. Also, plaintiff claimed that defendant was speeding on his bicycle. Defendant initially denied liability, but eventually settled this case for $57,500.

Slip and fall accident at Safeway Store. Defendant argued that it was not responsible for the accident. Defendant did not have notice of the condition. Moreover, the defendant disputed the damages. Plaintiff injured her shoulder requiring surgery. Defendant eventually settled for $60,000.
